Team Signing On Day

U8's (Blue) Girls

On Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September we hosted our first ever Team Signing On Day. This event was where teams from across the club (U7's - U13's) were invited to come along and sign their 'club contract' in the the presence of family and friends, and receive their squad number and home / away kits for the upcoming season.

The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and what a way to kick off the new season!

A huge thank you to Laura at Hartley's Sparkle for preparing and dressing the space - players, parents and coaches all commented on how special it made the event for everyone involved - THANK YOU!

Essex County FA's Coach of the Year Disability Pathway for the 24/25 Season

A huge congratulations to Sonny Marra (manager and coach of Hashtag Inclusive), who was announced as the winner of the Essex County FA's Coach of the Year, Disability Pathway, for the 24/25 Season.

This is an incredible achievement as this is the second time Sonny has won this award in the past three years.

Hashtag United Youth Announce Charity Partnership with Breakthrough T1D for the 2025/2026 Season

Hashtag United Youth is thrilled to announce our official charity partner for the upcoming 2025/2026 season—Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF.

Breakthrough T1D is the leading global type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and advocacy charity, dedicated to improving lives while working towards a future without T1D. They connect the brightest minds, invest in groundbreaking research, campaign for access, and provide vital support for the T1D community. Their mission is clear: to make T1D a thing of the past.

At Hashtag United Youth, we believe in using our platform to drive positive change. By partnering with Breakthrough T1D, we aim to raise awareness, support essential research, and empower individuals affected by T1D. Through fundraising events, community initiatives, and engagement with our players and supporters, we look forward to making a meaningful impact together.

Understanding T1D is crucial. Many newly diagnosed individuals wonder, "Why me?" It’s important to know that T1D is not caused by diet or lifestyle choices—it is an autoimmune condition that no one can predict or prevent. Hashtag Inclusive (Yellow) Team

The Hashtag Inclusive Yellow team played for the first time in the Soccability league this season and were highest points scorers in League 2.

League 2 is non competitive which ensures that all players within Soccability football get an opportunity to play football without the added stress of results.

We are so proud of them and they’ve all trained so hard this season and the coaches and players are all over the moon with their success.

Hashtag Inclusive (Blue) Team

Hashtag Inclusive entered two teams into the South Essex Soccability league this season and Hashtag Inclusive Blue Team won their Championship league after a hard battle and will automatically be promoted to the Premiership League next session. This is only their 2nd season playing in the Soccability league and they have received back to back promotions which is a huge credit to the hard work of the players and their coaches.

Renewed Partnership for the 25/26 Season - Cheeky Pants

Cheeky Pants Partnership

Hashtag United Youth Football Club are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Cheeky Pants.

To help support our female players through their menstrual cycle, Cheeky Pants have provided a free pair of period pants for all our female youth members.

As a partnership we are keen to raise awareness of the effects the menstrual cycle can have on players and the barriers it can pose on participation in sport. We will therefore proudly display the Cheeky Pants logo on our female home kits for teams from under 12 upwards.

In addition, we will provide each female team with a ‘just in case’ bag, which will consist of sanitary products and other essential items. We will also provide free sanitary products for members and visitors to the Forest Glade Sports Ground. Free pads and tampons will be available in the female toilets.

Finally, in our aim to support players through their menstrual cycle/periods, and more generally, we have introduced a Female Player Liaison Officers (FPLOs) role to each of our girls’ teams. The role is designed to provide support to our players should they feel more comfortable speaking and interacting with a female rather than one of their male coaches, and for the FPLOs to work alongside and advise coaches as appropriate on any issues.

Mark Skipp, Director of Youth Football, said: “This is a huge step forward for the club. We are passionate about raising awareness of how the menstrual cycle can affect young athletes” “the introduction of free sanitary products not only supports our members but also addresses period poverty, especially in the current financial climate”.

Simon Lane, Head of Youth Girls, said “I am delighted for the club, but more importantly for our female members, to agree what is a fantastic partnership with a great company looking out for our future stars in their development both on and off the pitch”.

Jo Van Huet at Cheeky Pants said “Here at Cheeky Pants we're passionate about accessibility to affordable reusable period products for all. We know how many young people are missing out on PE, sports and exercise as they don't know how to navigate their period around this.

We're delighted to be partnering with Hashtag United to support young players and continue to break down the barriers around the menstrual cycle and sport.”

Football leagues and clubs accredited by The FA have positively changed the football landscape over the last 20 years. They create the ideal environments to nurture players, coaches and volunteers. The result is greater diversity and inclusivity through football. England Football Accredited replaces The FA Charter Standard and is the next chapter in this amazing story as we unite even more communities by supporting Leagues and Clubs over the next ten years.
