Breakthrough T1D

for the 2025/2026 Season

Breakthrough T1D

Hashtag United Youth is thrilled to announce our official charity partner for the upcoming 2025/2026 season - Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF.

Breakthrough T1D are the leading global type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and advocacy charity; they help make everyday life with T1D better while driving towards cures. Today, they are opening doors once closed by a diagnosis of T1D. They do this by connecting the brightest minds, investing in groundbreaking research, campaigning for access, and providing vital support for the T1D community. Their mission is clear: to make T1D a thing of the past.

At Hashtag United Youth, we believe in using our platform to drive positive change. By partnering with Breakthrough T1D, we aim to raise awareness, support essential research, and empower individuals affected by T1D. Through fundraising events, community initiatives, and engagement with our players and supporters, we look forward to making a meaningful impact together.

Understanding TID is crucial.Over 400,000 people in the UK live with type 1 diabetes (T1D). It is not caused by diet or lifestyle, cannot be reversed, and currently has no cure. With the right support and research, we can work towards a world where TID will be a thing of the past.

Cheeky Pants are our wonderful partners, helping us become a progressive club with a vision to support our female members and their families

Inspired with the stance made by the England women's football team, we set about finding ways to support our girls too

Unable to find suitable kit changes and still keep our club uniform, our kit manager dug a little deeper to find a solution, where he eventually found Cheeky Pants

Once Jo VanHuet reached out to confirm her interest in working with us the rest moved quickly, Cheeky Pants now provide all our Girls with period pants to enable them to continue playing their Football carefree

On a Cheeky mission

We love what we do. We’re very proud of what we’ve already accomplished. And, brilliantly, it seems like every year and every new product we launch more and more of you love it too.

Reusables as an alternative to the many many plastic, expensive, uncomfortable, ineffective and wasteful disposable options out there are our bread and butter. Our foundation and our focus.

But it’s our mission to get more people on board with us because the journey is only just beginning. We hold ourselves to account and are always looking for new ways to help people make the shift by making reusables…

And doing all of it in a way that’s relatable, clear and transparent, simple and shows our complete passion.

If we can blow someone’s socks off because they’d never heard of washable pads before but now would never go back… If we can get reviews saying our products are 'game-changers' because they've given them confidence to go about their life which they never had before… If we can inspire one lovely Customer to tell just one other person about us and about how simple reusables can be…

Then our mission is on track.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer it threatens everything, for them and their family. At a time when they should be busy being children, enjoying their rollercoaster teenage years or finding their feet at uni, life becomes full of fear. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, of overwhelming money worries, mental health stretched to breaking point, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we get that. We are the charity that helps children and young people (0-25) and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them.

We know everyone’s different, so we work hard to make sure each family has what they need to get through cancer. It could be a financial grant for a parent struggling to keep their child warm through their treatment or for a young person who can’t afford to get to hospital. Or helping a family stay together at one of our free Homes from Home close to the hospital where their child is having treatment.

And if we think families aren’t being heard by the whole system, we’re not afraid to raise their voices or shout on their behalf. Children and young people with cancer deserve the same opportunities as anyone else. We’ll always have their back, because we’ve been there before.

Powered by the kindness of our supporters, we’ll face it all together.
